Photo restoration and correction

Using modern digital methods, it is possible to repair old photographs without damaging the original. A good family snapshot can become a great old photograph by simply fixing a few flaws. A genealogy photo can be greatly improved by our photo enhancement process.
At The big Picture Factory, image restoration or photo repair is always done by hand, using Photoshop photo restoration software.

We scan your original at a high resolution leaving the original untouched. We then adjust contrast, sharpness, and colour levels. We remove scratches and replace missing or damaged areas. The images are printed to your size on photo archival paper using fade resistant pigment inks. We also recut matt boards and repair frames where necessary.

The Big Picture Factory can manipulate photos when required. Removal of backgrounds that offend and people from group shots are the operations commonly carried out.
